Maun

Maun-Botswana's tourism capital and the starting point for safaris and tours into the Okavango Delta Moremi game reserve and Khwai.

Maun offers a range of activities, including scenic flights over the Okavango Delta, mokoro (traditional canoe) trips, game drives, and cultural excursion.The town boasts a variety of hotels, lodges, guesthouses, and other accommodation options, along with shopping centers, restaurants, and banks.

 

Okavango Delta

Okavango-One of the largest Inland water systems in the world, the Okavango Delta covers an approximate area of 16 000 square km of the Kalahari. The Kavango river rises in the Angola’s highlands and flows though Namibia before flooding onto the soft sands of the Kalahari creating the inland delta.It’s a home to a large variety of animals, Incredible game viewing is offered all year round with beautifully landscaped backdrops from floodplains and shallow lagoons to dense forest and the open savannah

One of the best experiences in the Okavango Delta is to be poled along the reed lined channels in a Mokoro (dugout canoe). The water flows inland and southeast into Botswana where it fans out to form this paradise of swamps, reed, beds, flood plains, and island and long stretches of cool, clear water.

Moremi Game Reserve

Moremi Game Reserve is situated in the heart of the Okavango Delta, a large inland delta in northern Botswana. The Moremi covers about 40% of the Okavango and is one of the last almost untouched wilderness and wildlife areas left in the world. The ecosystem is amongst the richest in Africa, with over 500 bird species and more than 1000 species of plants. It's home to many large endangered mammals such as elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, white, cheetah and African wild dog. From Maun, it is possible to access Moremi by road or air transfers( light aircraft flights)

Khwai

The Khwai Community Concession is situated in the extreme north east of the Okavango Delta, bordering the Moremi Game Reserve. It is known for its diverse and abundant wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, Zebra, hippo, leopards, wild dogs, and a variety of bird specie. Visitors can enjoy various activities, including game drives, mokoro trips (traditional canoe rides), walking safaris, and night drives. 

Savuti

Savuti (or Savute) is remote area within Botswana's Chobe National Park, is renowned for its large resident populations of predators, particularly lion, cheetah and hyena and strangely unpredictable water channel. Savuti is a popular destination for safari enthusiasts, offering opportunities for thrilling game drives and wildlife photography.

Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park is located in Northern Botswana, bordering Namibia and touching Zimbabwe and Zambia, and is known for its accessibility and the abundance of wildlife along the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for having one of the largest concentrations of elephants in Africa, Beyond elephants, the park is home to a variety of other animals, including lions, leopards, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and various bird species. Chobe National Park is a popular destination for game drives, boat cruises on the Chobe River, and birdwatching, providing a variety of ways to experience the park's wildlife and scenery

Nxai Pans

Nxai Pan National Park is a national park in north-eastern Botswana, consisting of Nxai Pan, which is one of the Makgadikgadi Pan salt flats. Nxai Pan National Park lies just north of the Maun-Nata main road and adjoins Makgadikgadi Pans National Park on its northern border.

Central Kalahari Game Reserve

Central Kalahari Game Reserve, known as the CKGR is 52,800 square kilometres big and therewith the second largest game reserve in the world ,is Situated right in the center of Botswana, this reserve is characterized by vast open plains, salt pans and ancient riverbeds. Varying from sand dunes with many species of trees and shrubs in the north, to flat bushveld in the central area, the reserve is more heavily wooded in the south, with mophane forests to the south and east.

Makgadikgadi Pans

The Makgadikgadi pans are the largest group of salt pans on earth, and you could find yourself exploring this wonderful and picturesque part of Botswana. The views are spectacular and the experience once in a lifetime! These salt pans cover 6,200 sq mi (16,057.9 km2) in the Kalahari basin and form the bed of the ancient Lake Makgadikgadi, which evaporated many millennia ago. Archaeological recovery in the Makgadikgadi has revealed the presence of prehistoric man through abundant finds of stone tools.

 

Victoria falls-Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls ,also known as Mosi-oa-thunya(the Smoke that thunders),is one of the world’s largest and most spectacular waterfall, Located on the border of Zimbabwe and Zambia. Victoria Falls is  a must-Visit destination, it provides both adventure seekers and sightseers with plenty of opportunities to warrant a longer stay. Popular activities include scenic flights over the falls in helicopters , Walking Tours to explore the forest, bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge, white-water rafting (seasonal).
